Job Description
This position requires secretarial and interpersonal skills together with the ability to organize, prioritize, and track details in the face of many demands. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, thrives on owning projects from start to finish with multiple deadlines, and coordinates work within a team environment. You will excel in this position if you can write and communicate well, follow up and meet deadlines, and drive projects to completion.
Legal Assistant Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
- Receptionist duties include maintaining office hours, greeting walk-ins, phone coverage, processing mail, email, faxes, etc.
- Monthly accounts payable
- Legal Assistant duties include attorney and paralegal support, maintaining files, scheduling meetings, finalizing correspondence and documents, etc.
- Marketing support including public notice tracking and follow-up, new client intake support, coordinating speaking events, maintaining contacts, webinar support, etc.
- Light facilities management and cleaning
Qualifications for Legal Assistant
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Associates degree and/or demonstrable office experience
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
Schroeder Law Offices PC is a paperless office and therefore applicants must be comfortable working in an all-digital environment. We will provide training and support for office-specific software and procedures.
Compensation
This position is a full-time hourly, non-exempt position.
